The Reason why Sofa King can't go to Maxt Out:

My mother, (matt's mother) has this event going on at Hot Java Cafe (where matt and his mother works at) and this event is during the day of July 8th. Other reasons include:

1. I don't have my car at the moment. It's in the autoshop because some bitch slammed her SUV into my car therefore it needs to get fixed.

2. Again, this really ridiculous Hawaii-esque event happening the same day.

So I think, maybe Andy is going with everybody (excluding Sofa King (stupid) and Future Funk).

i've been thinking again about Asking Justin

The kid is Great
Matt and i Session with this guy Everyday of the Schooldays pretty much
And we see him getting Better and better

So street sweepers was today .. timing was gay since my finals started yesterday, so I was essentially cut down hour and a half since I'm going to yong's bday tomorrow

The battles were pretty dope from what I saw (I was there for the first 4-5), though this jam was freaking small compared to past ones, and there were some less experienced crews entered .. I felt like if we'd entered we definitely wouldve been able to beat a couple of the crews that I saw.

But sadly I had to leave early, so yong entered with socheat and zapata .. I think .. didn't get to see their battle, but hopefully yong'll edit this n post about it when he gets back. Apologies for leaving yong on his own hahah

No footage unless somebody happens to tape yong's battle, we barely got to cipher cuz the battles started right when I got there blah
Anyways if we break at yong's bday tomorrow hopefully we might be able to get some footage for that sampler

[EDIT: also, fuck, it'd be cool if rest of sorc got out and repped more .. come to some jams or at least come session when you can .. I know yeah there's school n commitments n stuff but at least make an effort, even alex (tam) was at street sweepers today.. ]

Yong's post will go here:

Riiiight, this is yong aka bboy monk from the styles of rhythm. My review will try to be as detailed as it can be. I got a ride from Tam and were one of the first ones at the jam. It took awhile for the event to get started but more people eventually came. The jam wasnt as crowded as the past ones because Maximum Styles -MDC was throwing a DVD release party for Topdog in the O.C. Many crews and dancers didnt make it but for those who did, kudos.

Willy and myself were the only members of the crew who attended this jam. Chris' mom turned out to be a stubborn lil bitch and he had to stay home. And the others are in San Diego, Ca. So! The jam started at 2 and the battles began at 6. I eventually entered with Alex(La Zoo) and Socheat(Revenge of the Nerds) NOT ZAPATA! haha we entered as the one and only... =( hahaha

The battles were pretty good, yes some were inexperienced but its dope they had the balls to enter. My favorite battle had to be Rhythm Puppets i believe vs. 9 o'clock crew, dope battle indeed. We ended up squaring off against Lil Air Force Crew which is Psycho's(the host) kids who are a bunch of 10 year olds. Dragon was siiiiiiiick though, crazy kid at his age. I didn't do much since we were probably going to advance me and socheat just fucked around a lot...Alex was trying hard. I just didnt want to seem like a dick to the kids...

So we ended up advancing to the next round which is the next day but I wouldnt be able to make it cause I'm having my b-day party...OH YEAH BITCHES! hahaha

Plus socheat and alex didnt feel like battling so we let chaos theory take our spot in the next round. Good luck to them. The jam overall was dope, wasn't crowded and no beef involved, if there was, Psycho brought some boxing gloves to settle it like drunk Irish men but luckily they were never used. A lot of the crews held it down, The Gooniez, 9 o'clock crew, these guys were fuckin' siiick, rhythm puppets, bham tribe + sam(sam's getting more sick every time i see him), La Zoo, Assassins, Chaos Theory, Lil Air Force crew, them kids are gonna be dope when they get older. As for us...idk....we're just a bunch of sad faces hahaha.

The b-girl battles were dope, its too bad only 4 b-girls competed but they were pretty good. Gadget is my favorite b-girl, shes just so ghetto, its awesome haha, her or that other girl...chrissie...forgot...

the two other b-girls...forgot their names...were dope as well except one looked like Ms. Yang so I didnt cheer for her too much...SORRY. but yeah dope jam overall.

Props to Psycho for throwing it and props to all the people that came to support.

Then after we danced at renaissance theater with 9 o'clock crew, fuckin fun.

and yeah...good luck to all the crews tomorrow err today.
